Analytics and your consent choice

This website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site. The measurement ID is G-TJFRWEXTNZ. Analytics is enabled only after you choose Accept analytics in the consent banner; you can choose Reject analytics instead.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure site usage. For more information about how Google handles data, see Google’s privacy information. Your consent choice itself is kept in your browser’s local storage — not in a cookie — so the banner can remember your preference.

Finding the right installer

The Download page initially links every installer to the GitHub releases index, then your browser directly requests the public GitHub Releases API to look for the latest stable (non-prerelease, non-draft) Windows and macOS installers. GitHub API availability and unauthenticated rate limits can affect this enhancement. Validated installer links may be retained in your browser’s local storage for no more than five minutes and shown as Last verified if a later GitHub request fails; malformed or expired records are discarded. If no validated record is available, the releases index remains the no-script and unavailable fallback.

To suggest the right download, the page also checks which operating system you use and, where your browser offers it, which kind of processor your computer has. This check happens only in your browser; the site does not store or send the result.

Documentation loaded from GitHub

The Docs page separately loads documentation by fetching markdown files directly from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) using your own browser. Those requests go from your browser to GitHub, and GitHub’s privacy policy applies to them.

Your choices

You can reject analytics and continue using the site. This page describes the site’s current measurement and documentation-fetch behavior; it is not a promise that services outside our control will handle requests in a particular way.
